The Painted Table by Suzanne Field....A story you can relate to

The Painted table by Suzanne Field is a story that many of us can and probably relate to. This beautifully written story starts with this Norwegian family and this large table that was made in 1858 by a birch tree. It was brought to America into the home of the Kirkeborgs in North Dakota. Life was already difficult for this family which gets worse. The story spans three generations and focuses on mental illness and a one of a kind large carved Norwegian table. I would recommend this book to today's married couples who might benefit from what death do us part "means" actually, this book is great for anyone who struggles with mental illness.I really enjoyed reading this book.
